Like other displaced tenants of Broadway UMC, I'll be able to return to my studio next Tuesday! My office mates and I are SOOO excited to finally get back into our space! Meet "Permit the Frog" (my pink kermit!), who loves to ride with me on my motorcycle. I also hang with Timmy Doll, who has been with me since I was young and still went by my first name, Christopher. Even my fuzzy marketing friends from Lilly are cleaned and ready for action - say hi to Mr. Muscle and Mr. Liver.
We've been out of the building since late December, when a fire gutted the basement community room and left the rest of the building covered in smoke and soot damage. So while this has been a setback for my photography studio, I've done my best to focus and reframe the situation as much as possible. I've blogged on my personal Facebook page along the way, which has helped me process my feelings from the situation and keep focused on the opportunities coming out of it. My hashtags for this journey have reflected my focus and reframing:
#DoNotBeAfraid #IAmResilient #FindTheOpportunity #Gratitude #BeGentle #Adapt #BeMindful
This has helped me make lemonade out of lemons - to see this has a chance for renewal, both personally and professionally.
For the studio, I've incorporated what I learned during my first 15 months in business. I'm clearer in my intentions, and have a better handle on the products and services I want to offer my clients. So, quite literally, this is a renewal - or relaunch - of C Todd Creations.
